Afrikan Centred Education

MEDUKATION is an Educational Institute & Social Enterprise with two primary aims:

1. To establish and generate a movement around the need for Afrikan Centred Education (ACE) in the Afrikan Heritage community.

2. To develop Learning Aids, Resources, Research, Curriculum & Expertise in the field of ACE.

Our work is a direct outgrowth of the work of Bro. Ldr. Mbandaka, community activist and ACE  Consultant. Through his workshop “EDUCATION: An Afrikan Centred Approach to Excellence”, the challenge to “provide what is BEST for Black Children” was set. Medukation therefore aims to chart a course to actualising this goal.

We have begun with a series of Afrikan Centred Learning Aids specially designed to inspire cultural pride and purpose in Children, while encouraging the highest ideals of academic excellence, within the context of said culture. We are also running workshops for adults, addressing a myriad of issues around the Educational needs of Afrikan Heritage Children. Thus far our workshops include:

• - The A.C.E. Breakdown Parts 1 & 2
• - Teaching Black Children English Language
• - Black Youth and Social Media

We will soon be launching the MEDUKATION PROAGRAMME, an extensive course designed to accredit and qualify Afrikan Heritage parents, professionals and community activists in the field of Afrikan Centred Education.
